Written in the block editor
Text, images, buttons, forms (e.g. DT-contact) and shortcodes – anything you can put on a page can go in a popup. Preview shows the popup on the website.
Popups and messages – when, where and for whom
Popups shows popups and messages that you write in the block editor – in the middle, in a corner, as a bar or full screen. You choose when, where, for whom and how often. Pro schedules them: between two dates, on some weekdays and at some times of the day.
In WordPress the plugin is called Datoden Popups – in the DT-addons menu it is listed as DT-popup.
DT-popup shows popups and messages to your visitors. Each popup is written like a page in the block editor, and below the text you choose how, when, where, for whom and how often it is shown. The popups are real dialogs in the browser: the keyboard stays in them, Esc closes them and screen readers read them correctly.

In the middle with a dark background, in a corner, as a bar at the top or bottom across the whole width, or full screen. Width, background and text colour and movement (fade, slide or zoom in) are chosen per popup.
After a number of seconds, when the visitor has scrolled part of the page, when the visitor is about to leave (the mouse towards the top of the window, or a quick scroll up on a phone) or on a click on a link or button to #popup-name.
All pages, only the front page, only some addresses or all except some – * means anything, /shop/* is the whole shop. With DT-language also only some languages. Computers and/or phones, logged-in and/or other visitors.
Every page view, once per visit, again after a number of days or only once – remembered in the visitor's browser. A popup that opens on click opens every time.
The cross, Esc, a click outside, a link to #close inside the popup or by itself after a number of seconds. One at a time: if two popups want to open together, the second waits.
Popups work also when the page comes from a page cache (DT-cache and others) – time, device, login and frequency are decided in the visitor's browser. The cache is cleared when a popup is saved.
Show a popup only between two dates and times, only on some weekdays and only between some times of the day – in the website's time zone, also over midnight. A popup that starts while a visitor is on the page opens then.
Everything without a Pro label works for free. What is marked Pro is included in the Pro version.
After installing – how to set up Popups.
Go to DT-addons → DT-popup and click + New popup. Write the content like a page.
Below the text you choose how it is shown, when it opens, on which pages, for whom and how often. Fields that do not apply to your choice are hidden.
Preview shows the popup on the website at once. Publish, and visitors see it. The switch in the list turns it off and on.
Under Schedule you set from and to, weekdays and times of the day.
Pro builds on the free version – it stays as the base, with all your settings, and Pro adds the rest.

Link the button to #close.
Yes. The pages and the language are decided on the server, the rest in the visitor's browser, so the popups are right also when the page comes from the cache.
Only if you choose Every page view. Otherwise it is remembered in the visitor's browser – once per visit, every X days or once.
Nothing stops working. A purchase never runs out, and when a subscription ends the plugins keep every function – only the updates from Datoden stop.
