Contact forms that get through
Contact Form gives you a contact form with spam protection without a captcha and a test email that shows it works. Pro adds more forms and field types and Turnstile or reCAPTCHA.
In WordPress the plugin is called Datoden Contact Form – in the DT-addons menu it is listed as DT-contact.
DT-contact adds a contact form to any page with the Contact form block or the [datoden_contact] shortcode. Messages go to your inbox and are never stored in the database, and when you reply to the email the answer goes straight to the visitor. Spam is stopped without a captcha, and the form works on cached pages too.
Under DT-addons → DT-contact you pick the form's fields with Add a field and drag them into the order you want. Each field can be required, half or full width, and have example text and a help text. The form follows your theme's fonts and colours, and under Spam and look you choose the button colour.
A hidden trap field, a signed time check and a limit on messages per visitor and hour stop robots without the visitor noticing. Visitor IP addresses are only kept as a hash, for one hour. You set the limit under Messages per visitor and hour.
Under Robot check you can choose the built-in check. While the visitor fills in the form, the browser solves a small calculation in the background in about a second. Nothing is sent to any outside service and no keys are needed.
The Send a test email button shows whether email from the website reaches the address under Send to. Messages from the form use the visitor's address as reply-to, so you can answer straight from your inbox.
Every field type gets the right keyboard on phones, the browser's autofill and a check on the server, for example that a phone number or email address is valid. Errors are shown next to the field, and whatever the visitor typed stays in place.
With + New form and Duplicate you create as many forms as you need. Each form has its own shortcode, recipient (several addresses separated by commas), subject line where you can use field names such as {name}, button text and thank-you message. In the block you choose which form to show.
Besides the basic fields there are Swedish organisation numbers with a check-digit check, address fields, website, numbers, dates and times. There are also drop-down lists, choices, groups of checkboxes, file uploads, hidden values, headings and text to read. Uploaded files are attached to the email and then deleted.
Under Robot check you can choose Cloudflare Turnstile or Google reCAPTCHA v3 instead and enter the Site key and Secret key. For reCAPTCHA you also choose how strict the check should be. The scripts only load on pages that show the form.

After installing – how to set up Contact Form.
Go to DT-addons → DT-contact in the WordPress menu.
Check the address under Send to. It starts out as the site's admin email.
Click Send a test email and make sure it arrives – look in the spam folder too.
Add the Contact form block to the page, or paste the [datoden_contact] shortcode where the form should appear.

No. A message is only sent by email. Uploaded files are attached to the email and then deleted.
Click Send a test email. If it does not arrive, your web host does not send email reliably, and you need a plugin that sends email via SMTP with a real email address.

Yes. The per-visitor limit uses the visitor's real address when the request comes from Cloudflare or from a proxy in your own network.
Nothing stops working. A purchase never runs out, and when a subscription ends the plugins keep every function – only the updates from Datoden stop.
The first number in the version. A purchase includes every update in that major version, for example all 1.x versions. A new major version (2.0) comes about once a year with clearly new features and comes at a discount as an upgrade. A subscription always includes it.

Yes. Pro is an add-on: the free version stays installed and active as the base and is updated from WordPress.org as usual, and Pro adds the Pro features on top. On WordPress.org the free versions are called Datoden …, for example Datoden Contact Form.
