How to install the Datoden app

It takes less than a minute – choose your device.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open datoden.se in Safari.
  2. Tap Sharebutton (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Select Add to home screen and tap Add.
  4. Open Datoden from the new icon on the home screen.

Android

  1. Open datoden.se in Chrome.
  2. Tap Install the app here on the page – or open the menu (three dots) and choose Install app.
  3. Confirm with Install.
  4. Open Datoden from the app icon.

Computer (Windows and Mac)

  1. Open datoden.se in Chrome, Edge or Brave.
  2. Click Install the app here on the page – or the install icon on the right of the address bar.
  3. Confirm with Install. Datoden opens in its own window.
  4. You'll find the app in the Start menu (Windows) or among Applications (Mac) and can pin it to the taskbar or Dock. Safari on Mac: File → Add to Dock.

Frequently asked questions about the app

Does the app cost anything?

No. The app is free to install. It contains the same services as the website, and you log in with your regular Datoden account.

Why is the app not in the App Store or Google Play?

The Datoden app is installed directly from datoden.se. You then always get the latest version automatically, without waiting for updates in an app store.

How do I install the app on iPhone?

Open datoden.se in Safari, tap the Share button and choose Add to Home Screen. Datoden then gets its own icon and opens in full screen.

How do I install the app on Android?

Open datoden.se in Chrome and tap Install app, or choose Install app in the browser's menu.

Can I install the app on my computer?

Yes. Open datoden.se in Chrome, Edge or Brave and click Install the app. Datoden gets its own icon in the Start menu (Windows) or among Applications (Mac) and opens in its own window.

Do I have to sign in every time?

No. Leave Keep me signed in ticked when you sign in, and you stay signed in until you sign out yourself. If you've added a passkey under My details, you sign in with your fingerprint, face or PIN whenever you need to sign in again.

Do I need to update the app?

No. The app is updated automatically at the same time as Datoden, so you always have the latest features.
