Terms
Terms of purchase for Datoden
These terms apply when you use and buy Datoden – as a private person or as a company. They apply from 2026-10-02 and were last changed on 2026-10-11. The Swedish version is the legally binding one.
1. Seller and contact
Datoden is a service from Responsit AB, company reg. no. 559151-5084, Linnégatan 29, 216 14 Limhamn. You can reach us at hello@datoden.com or 040-12 82 00.
2. The service
Datoden is a set of apps used in the browser. The apps are of two kinds:
- Account apps save what you create in your account on our servers, so you can reach it from all your devices and share it with others in your company.
- Browser apps process your files directly in the browser. The files are never uploaded to us.
Which kind an app is is shown under About app in the app. Which apps are included may change over time.
Creating an account and using the apps with certain limits is free – for example a limited number of results per hour, some of your own settings are not saved, or printouts include a line about Datoden. The limits for each app are shown in the app.
With a pass or a business subscription you use the tools without these limits for as long as the pass or subscription is valid.
We develop the service continuously and may change, add or remove features. If a service becomes significantly worse during a period you have already paid for, you may terminate the agreement and get a refund for the remaining time.
3. Your account
You must provide correct details, protect your login credentials and are responsible for what is done with your account. We recommend two-step verification.
For a business account, the owner of the company is responsible for who is invited and which permissions they get.
We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms or the law.
4. Passes for private persons
- A weekly pass is valid for 7 days, a monthly pass for 30 days and a yearly pass for 365 days.
- A pass covers either all apps or one selected app.
- One-time purchase: the pass is valid from the purchase – or from when a current pass ends – and is not renewed. Nothing is charged automatically.
- Recurring subscription: the pass renews automatically for each new period and is paid in advance until you cancel it.
- The pass is personal and linked to your Datoden account.
5. Business subscriptions
- Solo covers one person. Team covers three users and can be extended with more.
- The subscription is taken out and changed by the owner of the company under My account → My purchases and is paid per month or per year.
- When a company gets a second user without a subscription, the team gets a free 30-day trial. The trial ends automatically and does not turn into a paid subscription.
- An upgrade (for example more users, Team instead of Solo, or yearly billing) applies immediately after payment. You pay the difference for the rest of the current period.
- A downgrade (for example fewer users, or Solo instead of Team) applies from the next period. Until then you keep what you have already paid for.
- The number of people in the company may not exceed what the subscription covers.
6. DT Pro plugins for WordPress
DT Pro plugins are add-ons to Datoden's free WordPress plugins (the DT plugins). The purchase gives the right to updates of one or more DT Pro plugins, delivered through your Datoden account, for the number of websites you choose: 1, 5 or unlimited.
- A one-time purchase (one plugin or all plugins) is valid forever and gives all updates within the major version that was current at the time of purchase, for example all 1.x. The next major version can be bought at an upgrade price under My account → My purchases → Licences.
- A subscription (monthly or yearly) gives the latest version of all DT Pro plugins for as long as it runs. It renews automatically until cancelled, can be cancelled at any time and then remains valid until the end of the period.
- A website counts when it is connected to the account and has a Pro plugin running, in the order the websites were connected. Websites above the limit receive no updates.
- Unlimited websites means up to 100 websites per licence.
- Datoden may end a subscription to DT Pro plugins. The amount corresponding to the remaining part of the paid period is then refunded, and the plugins keep working.
- The plugins are licensed under the GPL. When a licence expires or a subscription ends, the plugins keep working, but no new versions are delivered. No data is lost.
- Prices for DT Pro plugins are shown excluding VAT, also for private persons. VAT is calculated at checkout.
- Right of withdrawal: DT Pro plugins are digital content delivered immediately when payment is complete, by making the download and updates available in your account. When buying, you consent to delivery starting immediately and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost, in accordance with the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act. A subscription can always be cancelled before the next period.
- Support is given by email at hello@datoden.com.
7. Prices and payment
The current price is shown before you pay. Prices for private persons include VAT. Prices for business subscriptions exclude VAT, which is added according to the applicable rules.
Payment is made through our payment provider Stripe by card or, for one-time purchases in Swedish kronor, Swish. We never receive your card number. You get a receipt by email.
We may change prices for the future. A recurring subscription gets a new price only from a later period, and we notify you at least 30 days in advance. You can always cancel before the new price applies.
If a renewal cannot be paid we will try again for a while. If payment still fails, the subscription ends and the account moves to the free version.
8. Cancellation
A recurring subscription can be cancelled at any time under My account → My purchases → Receipts, card and cancel subscription. It then remains valid until the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed.
Paid periods are not refunded on cancellation, except where it follows from the right of withdrawal below or from law. No data is lost when a subscription ends – the account moves to the free version.
9. Right of withdrawal for private persons
As a consumer you have the right, under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59), to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of the day the agreement was made.
The easiest way is our withdrawal function: Withdraw from the contract here. You can also email us at hello@datoden.com. You do not need to give a reason. We send an acknowledgement of receipt by email when we have received your request.
Because the pass starts immediately, we ask you to accept this when you buy. If you withdraw, you pay for the time the pass was valid until you withdrew; we refund the rest. If the service has been fully provided before you withdraw – for example a weekly pass that has already expired – the right of withdrawal no longer applies.
We refund no later than 14 days after receiving your request, using the same payment method you used.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to companies. For DT Pro plugins, section 6 applies.
10. Faults, interruptions and liability
We work to keep the tools available and working, but cannot guarantee that they are always free from faults or interruptions. We prefer to do planned maintenance when few people use the tools.
Contact us if something does not work and we will fix it within a reasonable time. As a consumer you also have rights under the Swedish Act (2022:260) on contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services, including the right to have faults remedied and to a price reduction or to terminate the agreement if the fault is not fixed.
You are responsible for the content you enter and for keeping your own copies of important data. Account apps offer export and backups.
Totals, time banks and schedules are calculated from what you have entered. Check them before you invoice, pay wages or hand out a schedule.
The browser apps can be used without an account, and these terms apply then too. The files are processed in your browser and we have no copy of them. Always check the result before you use it, and keep the original. This applies especially to tools whose results are hard to see with the naked eye: redaction, password protection, text recognition (OCR) and document comparison. Text recognition and comparison are an aid but can miss things or get them wrong.
Fonts you create in Font are yours. You must have the right to use the images, fonts and documents you open in the apps; that is your responsibility.
Website monitoring checks your website and reminds you about SSL certificates and domains, but it is an aid and not a guarantee. Dates are fetched automatically from others and may be missing or wrong, and email can be delayed or end up in the spam folder. You are responsible for renewing your domain and certificate in time.
Some parts rely on services from others, for example payments via Stripe and email. We are not liable for interruptions on their side that we could not influence.
Towards companies we are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit or lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount the company paid for the service in the last twelve months. During the trial period and in the free version the service is provided as is. The limitation does not apply in case of intent or gross negligence.
11. Your content
What you create in Datoden is yours. We only use the content to provide the service to you. Files you open in a browser app are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to us.
When a company enters personal data about others in an account app – for example customers or colleagues – the company is the data controller and we are the data processor. What applies then is described in our privacy policy.
12. Acceptable use
You may not use Datoden in breach of the law, try to access other people's accounts or systems, put an abnormal load on the services, use automated scripts or circumvent the free limits. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
13. Personal data
How we process personal data is described in our privacy policy.
14. Changes to the terms
We may change the terms. We notify you of significant changes by email or in the service at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not accept the change you can terminate the agreement before then.
15. Disputes and applicable law
Swedish law applies. Please contact us first if you are dissatisfied and we will try to solve it.
As a consumer you can also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), Box 174, SE-101 23 Stockholm, arn.se.
For disputes with companies the following applies: Any dispute shall be settled by the Malmö District Court as the first and final instance. The parties agree that the judgment may not be appealed and shall be final. This does not apply in the event of a grave procedural error.
16. Information on the website
We do our best to keep the information on datoden.se and datoden.com correct, but it may be incomplete or out of date. Images and examples show how the apps work and may differ from the latest version. What applies when you buy is the price and the terms shown when you pay.
Links to other websites are there to help you; we are not responsible for their content.
